培训师资作为医学教育中的关键环节，其团队素质优劣较大程度影响了医学教育培训效果。为进一步优化医学模拟教学师资团队建设，提升教学一线人员的业务水平，促进临床技能培训中心的建设与发展，由广东省医学教育协会、广东省医学教育协会医学模拟教育专业委员会主办，南方医科大学珠江医院临床技能中心承办的“医学模拟教育师资培训课程体系设计与实施培训班”定于2017年8月18日在广州市举办。本次培训班特邀美国迈阿密大学米勒医学院医学副教授、戈登医学教育研究中心教育科技发展总监 Dr. Ross J.Scalese进行授课，欢迎相关专业人员报名参加，现将有关事宜通知如下：

Ross J. Scalese, M.D. 博士是迈阿密米勒医学院医学副教授 ，同时任该学院戈登医学教育研究中心教育科技发展总监。

Scalese博士拥有内科医师执照，是美国医师协会会员。Dr.Scalese积极从事临床和教学工作，专注于心脏学和临床技能等方面，教授医学生、住院医师、助理内科医师和护士学校学生。Ross担任迈阿密大学医学院课程设计委员会执行教员，协同指导主要胜任力评估项目，并且是医学教育者协会的创立会员。

Scalese博士在戈登中心获得了医学教育研究员职称，在该中心其工作重点集中在基于胜任力的模拟培训的创新性使用；他对将模拟用于评估的发展和实施具有特别的兴趣。 

Ross曾担任美国国家医学考试委员会考试材料开发成员，十几年来，和加拿大皇家内科医师学会合作，将模拟整合到其国家资格考试中。

Scalese博士是众多基于模拟的健康专业教育国际会议的邀请讲者。也是该领域一些被引用次数较多的学术论文的合著者，包括发表于最佳证据医学教育（BEME）上的高仿真模拟导致有效学习的特点的系统回顾。

Ross J. Scalese, M.D. is Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami (UM) Miller School of Medicine and Director of Educational Technology Development at UM’s Gordon Center for Research in Medical Education.

Dr. Scalese maintains board certification in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is active clinically and as a teacher of medical students and residents, as well as physician assistant and nursing students, particularly in the areas of cardiology and clinical skills. At UM’s medical school Ross serves on the Executive Faculty Curriculum Steering Committee, co-directs the major competency assessment programs, and is a founding Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators.

Dr. Scalese completed a Research Fellowship in Medical Education at the Gordon Center, where his work focuses on innovative uses of simulation for competency-based training; he has a special interest in the development and implementation of simulations for assessment.

Ross has served on test material development committees of the National Board of Medical Examiners in the U.S., and for more than a decade collaborated with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada to incorporate simulations into their high-stakes national certification exams.

Dr. Scalese has been an invited speaker at numerous international conferences addressing topics related to simulation-based health professions education. He has co-authored some of the most frequently cited papers in the field, including the Best Evidence Medical Education (BEME) Collaboration systematic review on features of high-fidelity simulation that lead to effective learning.
